Exhibitor Conference Information

The MECA board would like to welcome you to the 2019 Mississippi Educational Computing Association conference.  We are thrilled you will be sharing your products/services with the educational community here in Mississippi. Location of Conference

All exhibits will be housed at the Jackson Convention Complex (JCC), Exhibit Hall A, at 105 E. Pascagoula St, Jackson, MS, on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 4 - 6, 2019.



Registration for exhibitors will be located inside Exhibit Hall A on Monday February 4, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. You will receive name badges for registered company representatives in your registration packet.  There will be an additional charge of $100 per booth rep added at registration.


Internet Services 

Wireless Internet is provided with your booth. If you require a wired connection please  Click here to request the wired connection. There is an additional charge of $100 per wired connection.  Exhibitors are welcome to bring a network switch to provide additional lines in their booths. No wireless routers or access points are allowed in the Exhibit Hall!!!


Exhibitor Hours

  • Exhibitor Setup

    • Monday, February 4, 2019 – 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

    • All crates should be unpacked by 2:00 PM on Monday to allow time for proper storage of crates.


  • METLA Reception

Mississippi Educational Technology Leaders Association (METLA) will meet at the JCC on Monday until 3:30 PM.  At 3:30 PM, there will be a  reception in Ballroom C just off the Exhibit Hall floor at the JCC.  All registered exhibitor booth representatives are invited to attend the reception and visit with the technology leaders and administrators from districts across the state.  If you plan to bring additional company representatives to the reception there will be a $100 charge per person.

    • Tuesday, February 5, 2019 – 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

    • Wednesday, February 6, 2019 – 7:30 AM to Noon


  • Exhibitor Breakdown

    • Please do not breakdown before Noon on Wednesday, February 6

    • A representative from Convention Display Services  will be available to retrieve stored crates and boxes


Rentals and Services 

All exhibitor services will be provided by Convention Display Services (CDS). CDS will be on-site in Exhibit Hall A on the days of load-in and break down. The Exhibitor Service Kit provides details for additional services.

Shipping Materials 

Convention Display Services (CDS) will be accepting exhibitor shipments 30 days prior to the show date. Information about shipping is included in the convention services packet. No Exhibitor shipments will be accepted at the Jackson Convention Complex. After the conference - All shipping is handled through Convention Display Services [Terri French, 601-948-4228] and all exhibitors who have not contracted with CDS must make their own arrangements.  MECA is not responsible for shipping of any items.

As members register for the conference, they choose to share contact information with exhibitors. We will provide this information for those members who have given us permission to do so. Lead Retrieval at Conference

There are two options for lead retrieval:

Option 1:  Mobile Device - Use your mobile phone or iPad to scan badges.  QR codes are universal and there are many scanning applications available so download the app of your choice prior to the conference. MECA will not provide scanning devices to exhibitors.

Option 2:  ATS Lead Retrieval Service - MECA has once again contracted with American Tradeshow Services – ATS - to provide electronic lead retrieval services for the 2018 MECA Conference.  All registered conference attendees will be provided a bar-encoded nametag that includes all contact information.  Place your order here - ATS Lead Retrieval Order For MECA 2019.


Exhibitor Lounge and Food

An exhibitor lounge will be available in the Exhibit Hall to provide a place for you to take a minute to rest, eat, or take a phone call. Food will be provided for exhibitors at the following times:

  • Monday, February 4 – 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM – Coffee and snacks in Exhibitor Lounge

  • Monday, February 4 – 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM – Reception with METLA Members in Ballroom C

  • Tuesday, February 5– Breakfast and afternoon snacks in Exhibit Hall A

  • Tuesday, February 5– Lunch in Exhibit Hall B

  • Wednesday, February 6 - Breakfast and snacks in Exhibit Hall A

Tailgating with the Techies

The MECA Board would like to invite all registered booth representatives to attend our Tailgating with the Techies event Monday, February 4, from 3:30 - 5:30 in Ballroom C at the Jackson Convention Complex (JCC).  This event is designed to provide a relaxed atmosphere for our MECA Exhibitors to visit with the technology leaders and administrators from across our state.  The Mississippi Educational Technology Leaders Association (METLA) will meet Monday from 10:00 – 3:30 at the JCC.  Tailgating with the Techies will begin as the METLA members leave their meeting.  Click here  to let us know if you will be joining us for Tailgating with the Techies.

Door Prizes 

Due to E-Rate guidelines, MECA is continuing the door prize system that was implemented in 2011. MECA will give door prizes away in general, large group sessions. These door prizes will be purchased by MECA or donated to MECA, the organization, from an exhibitor. Prizes donated by an exhibitor should not identify the exhibitor and the exhibitor will not be identified to attendees when the prizes are awarded. To provide a prize to be given away at the general session, please email or contact Marcine Freeman [601.540.0016] or Regina Allen [601-441-2722]. Exhibitors are free to have drawings for door prizes in individual booths. Exhibitors are responsible for awarding prizes that are given away at their booth. MECA will not hold or mail any prizes at the end of the conference.
