CEU & SEMI Information

MECA is pleased to offer CEU credits through William Carey University for $15.00 (WCU processing fee) to attendees that choose to take advantage of these offerings. This year at MECA you can obtain a maximum of 1.4 CEU credits.

CEU CREDITS:

Concurrent Sessions and the Keynote are worth 0.1 CEUs each unless otherwise noted in the program. Hands-On Sessions are worth 0.2 CEUs each unless otherwise noted in the program. Participants can earn the maximum number of CEUs by attending a Concurrent Session or Hands-On Session during each time slot during the conference.

NOTE:

MDE does not recognize certificates less than 0.5 CEUs; therefore, MECA will not process certificates whose value would be less than 0.5 CEUs. If you want to receive a CEU certificate from MECA, you must attend and get your form stamped in enough Concurrent, Keynote, and Hands-On Sessions, to obtain at least 0.5 CEUs. Certificates will be mailed at the end of the conference.

OBTAINING CEU CERTIFICATES:

Pick up your CEU sheet at the BEGINNING of the conference at the William Carey booth or in the registration area. You must get your sheet stamped at each session you attend to receive CEU credit. Participants need to take their CEU form to the booth prior to the closing of the exhibit hall or to the registration table after the closing business meeting. CEUs are being offered by William Carey University. William Carey University, founded in 1906, has served Mississippi as a teacher preparation institution, liberal arts programs, nursing programs, and most recently the College of Medicine. It is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
