During the MECA 2009 conference, we added several tools for communication between MECA's board, membership, and vendors. We want to continue this year.
Twitter
One was the MECA twitter account, @msmeca. Like last year, we will be twittering conference information out before and during the conference. Please follow! Tweets will also be pulled into the main Web site (on right-hand side) and on the main page of the Ning site.
Ning
Another continued opportunity for members is to interact on our Ning site,
ms-meca.ning.com. It allows member to start or join special interest groups, blog about the conference, start discussions, and put names with faces (providing you use a real picture for your profile pic.) Please join and start interacting with fellow members from around the state.
Tag/hashtags
You can also upload pictures and videos relating to MECA on the ning site. If you do this and the media is related to the MECA 2010 conference, please use the conference's official tag, #msmeca10. Likewise, if you want to use your usual media service (Flickr, Picasa, . . .), please tag. This will help us pull-in your media to our sites. For instance, we will have a Flickr feed on the ning site for pictures uploaded and tagged with #msmeca10. If you tweet about the conference please tag the tweet with #msmeca10 as well.
